Montreal, November 13, 2025 – Special guests for Echo Music!

This season, Echo Musique will go beyond workshops and training sessions. The program will offer insights into the experience, networks, and vision of professionals who have shaped music in Quebec and beyond. Daniel Lafrance, Anaëlle Reko, and Maurin Auxéméry will not be there for prestige; they will be there to share their knowledge, concrete experiences, and practical advice, helping the music industry transform its ideas into real and viable projects.

Daniel Lafrance: Understanding the Industry from the Inside

Since 1976, Daniel Lafrance has worked in every aspect of the music industry: publisher, producer, manager, tour manager… These experiences have given him an in-depth understanding of the field, its unspoken rules, and the pitfalls to avoid. His publishing house, Éditorial Avenue, is a landmark for artists, and his nine Félix Awards for Publisher of the Year attest to his expertise.

At Echo Musique, Daniel won't just share information; he'll tell stories. He'll share how a well-thought-out contract can save a career, why certain production choices make all the difference, and how to navigate the complexities of copyright law. Participants will see music not only as an artistic creation, but also as a project to be structured and protected.

Her workshops will alternate between anecdotes, concrete examples, and discussions about the daily realities of an artist or publisher. For those in the public eye, this will be a rare opportunity to learn to view their career as a solid project, without losing their artistic identity.

Anaëlle Reko: Simplifying the complex

While Daniel will represent experience and industry knowledge, Anaëlle Reko will bring methodology and clarity. For over ten years, she has helped artists and producers obtain grants and funding, transforming complex processes into concrete solutions. Through her foundation, Dossier Intelligent, she has enabled dozens of musicians to secure hundreds of thousands of dollars for their projects.

At Écho Musique, Anaëlle will show participants how to navigate the music industry, identify opportunities, overcome obstacles, and create solid projects. She will teach them how to plan a budget, write an effective funding application, and, most importantly, maintain control of their artistic vision while meeting industry demands.

Its strength lies in its transparency and frankness. It won't provide ready-made solutions; it will help each participant understand the system and find their own answers. For the promotion, it will be a unique opportunity to transform vague ideas into concrete projects and to understand that a music career is built step by step, with method and rigor.

Maurin Auxéméry: the stage as a learning ground

Maurin Auxéméry is the programming director for the Francos and the Montreal International Jazz Festival. Born in the Gers region of France and raised on jazz festivals, he knows music in all its forms. Today, he programs some of the world's biggest Francophone and jazz festivals.

With this program, Maurin will share a practical vision of the stage: how to prepare a concert, choose a repertoire, work with a technical team, and offer the audience a memorable experience. But he will go further: he will show how every decision, from the choice of songs to the staging, can transform a performance into a truly memorable moment.

Participants will also discover the importance of building their network, presenting their music to the right audience, and understanding the stage as a space for exchange and visibility. Maurin will help artists position themselves, seize opportunities, and prepare for a competitive environment, all while remaining true to their artistic identity.

Why will these mentors make a difference?

Daniel, Anaëlle, and Maurin will do more than simply impart knowledge; they will offer perspectives, tools, and advice to help aspiring artists move from idea to reality. Their role will extend beyond teaching: they will help young artists understand the industry, anticipate challenges, make informed decisions, and build their careers with confidence.

Through anecdotes, case studies, and personalized discussions, each meeting will become a source of inspiration and practical learning. Participants will not simply listen: they will experiment, ask questions, and directly apply what they learn to their projects.

Echo Musique's strength lies in its unique blend of hands-on workshops, experienced mentors, and advice tailored to real-world situations. Thanks to Daniel, Anaëlle, and Maurin, artists will have every opportunity to transform their passion into a sustainable career, with a solid foundation, an active network, and a clear vision for their future.
