The delegations that open the world to our creators.

What are Nation Missions ?

Nation Missions are Nation Hub's international delegations. We take local Afro-descendant cultural creators and entrepreneurs to markets, festivals, and forums where real business opportunities are happening. Groups can range from 5 to 8 people. These can also be artist residencies.

‍

Our mission is not cultural tourism. We go there to create opportunities, concrete opportunities, to showcase our talents and build lasting bridges between Quebec and the world.

How does it work?

01

The selection

Each mission targets a specific strategic market. Delegates are selected based on the relevance of their project to that market and their ability to capitalize on the resulting opportunities. Selection may be by invitation or application.

02

The preparation

Before you leave, we prepare the ground with you: preparatory guide, market analysis, a sharpened pitch, targeted meetings and presentation materials, and a preparatory meeting before departure. You don't arrive empty-handed.

03

On the field

During the mission, we ensure everything runs smoothly and provide access for business meetings, panels, networking activities, and time spent on delegation. We document the trip with photos and videos.

04

After the mission

Upon our return, we conduct a debriefing with an impact report based on delegate feedback and our on-the-ground analysis. This report is shared with each participant and the funders. It's then up to you to nurture the connections you've made and remain active within Nation Hub to take advantage of future opportunities through our other pillars.

First mission:

AFCM – Lagos, Nigeria

For its very first mission, Nation Hub is heading to the AFRIFF Film & Content Market (AFCM) in Lagos. This is a key event for the African screen industry. The delegation will meet with producers, broadcasters, platforms, and investors from across the continent. They also have the opportunity to participate in CANEX WKND, which celebrates and connects African creative industries.
