Montreal, February 26, 2025 - The Gala Dynastie is back for its 9th edition! Fondation Dynastie is proud to unveil the nominations of artists, craftspeople, and personalities from Black communities who have distinguished themselves in the artistic, cultural, and media spheres. The unmissable evening of Gala Dynastie will highlight 83 nominees on Saturday, April 26 at the Théâtre Maisonneuve in Place des Arts. The awards ceremony will be hosted by comedian Garihanna Jean-Louis .
THE Gala Dynastie Presented by TD Bank Group in collaboration with SODEC , Natyf TV returns as the official broadcaster. Place des Arts will officially host the event for the 6th consecutive year.

850 applications were received for this new edition. A jury of 30 professionals from the cultural, media and artistic industries was mobilized to rigorously analyze all the applications and select the finalists and winners in 17 categories encompassing the fields of media and culture.
It should be noted that the finalists were assessed based on their achievements during the eligibility period from September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024.

Don't miss the pre-gala show presented by Marieme Ndiaye and Gaël Comtois, starting at 6pm, a glamorous preview that will plunge you directly into the secrets of the prestigious Gala evening.
Broadcast live from the iconic Black Carpet and backstage, the show will be streamed on the Gala Dynastie Facebook page and our other social media platforms. The show is presented by Telefilm Canada.
The People's Choice Award tradition continues. Presented and supported by the Canadian Media Fund (CMF), the award will honour a finalist chosen by the public as their favourite of the year. The individual receiving the most votes will win the People's Choice Award, which will be announced at the Gala on April 26.

This year, for the Gala Dynastie , there Fondation Dynastie The Foundation is taking action for the planet by replacing traditional personalized nomination cards with an eco-friendly initiative in partnership with Tree Canada. For each finalist, a seedling will be planted as part of the National Greening Program , which contributes to reforestation across the country. This decision embodies the Foundation's commitment to sustainable development and highlights the positive impact the finalists have on our community. Thanks to their participation, 83 trees will take root in Canadian forests, strengthening our natural heritage.
