Montreal, January 16, 2025 - The Fondation Dynastie is proud to announce that Garihanna Jean-Louis will take over the reins of hosting the Gala Dynastie For the second year in a row! With her unique style, her overflowing and contagious energy, Garihanna, a comedian with an impressive career, captivated the public in 2024.
His return for the 9th edition of the Gala Dynastie promises to be just as impactful, with a whole new wave of talent that, every year, showcases Black excellence in media, arts and culture.
With her unique sensibility, Garihanna embodies the values of inspiration and recognition that have driven this flagship event since its inception. Her presence promises to make this new edition an even more memorable occasion.
“Returning to host the Gala Dynastie is a true honor for me. This gala is more than an event; it is a celebration of our heritage and our collective dreams. I am delighted to be back on stage and to share this exceptional evening with the audience and the nominees of this 9th edition,” said Garihanna Jean Louis.

THE Gala Dynastie 2025, which will be held on April 26 at the Théâtre Maisonneuve in Place des Arts, will celebrate the talents and exceptional contributions of Black communities in Quebec through 17 categories in culture and media.
With unprecedented performances, new talents to discover and a unique atmosphere, everything is in place for an evening that will remain etched in memories.
“In a context of budget cuts to support culture and EDI (equity, diversity, inclusion) initiatives, organizing this 9th edition is a way of showing that we are still here, despite everything, even in this difficult context, we persevere! We made the decision to merge the two gala evenings into one, but our commitment remains intact. Without the support of our partners, this gala simply would not take place. Thanks to them, we continue to celebrate and highlight what truly matters: our culture and our talents,” says Carla Beauvais, Executive Director of the Fondation Dynastie .
The 9th edition highlights the collective and individual impact on our artistic landscape and perfectly embodies the spirit of the Gala. This event celebrates the innovation, diversity, and influence of Black communities in Quebec.
