Montreal, January 22, 2026 - The Gala Dynastie The Gala today unveils the highlights of its 10th edition, which will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the Théâtre Maisonneuve. Presented under the theme "The End of an Era ," this anniversary edition marks a pivotal moment in the Gala's history, after ten years dedicated to celebrating, recognizing, and showcasing talent from Black communities in Quebec's cultural and media sectors.
Powered by the Fondation Dynastie , THE Gala Dynastie Over the years, it has established itself as an essential event, a space for recognition, and a place for sharing knowledge and experience. This 10th edition aims to be both a deliberate reflection on the journey so far and a collective moment to mark the closing of a foundational chapter. The event is presented by TD Bank Group, in collaboration with SODEC, and will be broadcast on NATYF TV starting at 8 p.m.

A REDESIGNED EDITION
This anniversary edition features a reimagined format. Instead of the usual nominations and awards presentations, the Gala will pay tribute to 14 outstanding individuals across 10 categories, honored for their careers, commitment, and lasting impact on Quebec's cultural and media scene. More than a celebration, this evening offers a pause, a gesture of recognition, and a moment to reflect on the legacy built over the past decade.
The individuals being honored will be revealed gradually, with one announcement per week, allowing each journey to benefit from the space, time, and attention it deserves.

TWO SPECIAL PRIZES
Two special prizes will also be awarded to honor the rising generation that is also building its legacy.
The Dynastie - IMPACT Grand Prix presented by NATYF TV will be awarded to Luguentz Dort, Bennedict Mathurin and Chris Boucher, three NBA players from Montreal North, who inspire a whole generation by showing that the NBA dream is possible thanks to their hard work and discipline.
The Dynastie - AVENIR Grand Prize presented by TD Bank Group will be awarded to Nadia Louis-Desmarchais, an Afro-feminist director recognized for her short films and her web series Les Météorites, which give a voice to talents and stories too often ignored in Quebec cinema.

MEMORY PERFORMANCES PRESENTED BY THE MONTREAL ARTS COUNCIL
The evening will be punctuated by five performances in the form of unique tableaux, carried by exceptional artists who will tread the stage of the Théâtre Maisonneuve to pay tribute to great builders.

DYNASTY LEGACY CAPSULES PRESENTED BY TELEFILM CANADA
A series of 20 video capsules will give a voice to the artisans and former finalists who have shaped the history of the Gala, offering an intimate look at its impact and collective legacy.

THE END OF AN ERA: A LEGACY FOR THE FUTURE

Today, we’re taking the time to reflect on how far we’ve come, ” recalls Carla Beauvais, Co-founder and Executive Director of the Fondation Dynastie . “ This 10th edition of the Gala Dynastie doesn’t mark an end, but the end of an era. The end of a cycle that has transformed narratives, opened doors, and affirmed the place of our talents in the public sphere. 2026 paves the way for a renewal, bringing new forms, new ambitions, and a resolutely forward-looking perspective. ”
THE PUBLIC'S CHOICE
This year, two Dynasty Awards – People's Choice will be presented to honour outstanding personalities from the last nine editions of the Gala Dynastie , in the Culture and Media categories.
The vote takes place in two phases: the first phase, open to all finalists from the last nine editions, runs from January 22 to February 28, 2026. The five finalists with the most votes (in each category) during this phase will advance to the next stage. During the second phase, from March 9 to 22, 2026, the public will again be able to vote for their favorite finalists. The results of this second phase of voting will be revealed at the [event name]. Gala Dynastie April 11, 2026.
And that's not all! Among all those who participated in the vote, 5 pairs of tickets (10 people) will be drawn at random to attend the event for free. Gala Dynastie and experience this unique moment with us, in the theater. Vote, make your voice heard… and have the chance to be there for history.
