THE Sommet Dynastie is back: an unmissable event for the creative and cultural industries

Montreal, February 27, 2025 – The Fondation Dynastie is proud to announce the highly anticipated return of Sommet Dynastie in 2025, which will take place on April 22nd and 23rd at 8 Queen . An unmissable event dedicated to media, arts and culture professionals from Afro-descendant communities.

Held under the banner of creativity and innovation, and in a context of rapid transformation within the creative industries, this event explores the evolution of music, business models, and talent monetization strategies. It also addresses media brand building, culture as an economic driver, and heritage preservation. Discussions will also focus on the impact of new technologies, particularly AI and augmented reality, as well as the role of art as a catalyst for social change.

Two distinguished guests

Two iconic figures will join the Sommet Dynastie to participate in the Great Conversations on the future of cultural and creative industries:

  • Cameron Bailey, CEO of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)
  • Dejha Carrington, a visionary and committed strategist, is the co-founder of the Commissioner arts program.

The Summit will also bring together renowned professionals and visionary thinkers, ready to share their unique ideas, experiences and perspectives during panels, master classes, co-creation activities and exclusive workshops.

Following the success of the first edition, the Sommet Dynastie 2025 announces an ambitious program.

The program is structured around major themes that explore the profound changes in the creative and cultural industries. It notably addresses innovation in music, examining how artificial intelligence and new economic models are transforming music production and artistic creation, while also analyzing the impact of these technologies on the sector.

Building a strong media brand, culture as an economic lever, talent monetization strategies, the impact of technological innovations such as AI and augmented reality, the arts and heritage preservation, reflections on art as a vector of social change – these are just some of the themes that will be explored at the Summit.

ABOUT THE SOMMET DYNASTIE

Launched in 2022, the Sommet Dynastie It was born from the desire to address the challenges of inclusion and representation of Afro-descendants in Quebec's cultural, artistic, and media industries. Designed as a two-day immersive experience, it is a space for reflection, co-creation, and innovation to propel creators and foster the production of cultural goods.

Through inspiring panels, enriching discussions and interactive workshops led by recognized experts, the Summit aims to strengthen the sense of community, promote equitable distribution of resources and transform cultural and media ecosystems.

The first edition made a lasting impression with the publication of the Black Book, a manifesto bringing together reflections and recommendations for a more inclusive and equitable future in these sectors.

There Fondation Dynastie The Foundation works to achieve more equitable and meaningful representation of Black communities in the arts, culture, and media. Through various cultural mediation initiatives, the organization seeks to break down barriers, create opportunities that promote the visibility and recognition of talent from these communities, and reduce inequalities in the representation of Black communities in the cultural and media sectors.
