Montreal, April 26, 2025 – The 9th edition of the Gala Dynastie This unmissable event of the year, presented by TD Bank Group in collaboration with SODEC, highlighted the exceptional achievements of individuals from Quebec's Black communities. Gala Dynastie has, once again, established itself as a key event to honor the impact of black talent in the Quebec artistic and media landscape.
For the second year in a row, comedian Garihanna Jean-Louis hosted the evening. True to her reputation as a comedy queen, she set the stage ablaze and captivated the audience, blending sharp humor with political commentary, while adding her personal touch to the evening's highlights. Her dynamic presence and unique style perfectly captured the festive and community-minded spirit of the event.

As every year, the public had its say by voting for its favorite personality among the finalists of the Gala Dynastie This year, Joepitz Dorsainvil took home the top honors.
In a warm and moving atmosphere, the Fondation Dynastie This year, we had the privilege of presenting our Grand Prix Dynastie (Doudou Boicel Prize) to Anthony Kavanagh, a true legend of Quebec comedy. Through his unique talent and his ability to push the boundaries of comedy, Anthony not only left his mark on his era but also paved the way for a new generation of comedians. His commitment to breaking down barriers, both on stage and in society, embodies pride and resilience. The Grand Prix Dynastie thus recognizes a man whose impact extends far beyond the comedy scene, inspiring entire generations and shaping today's cultural landscape.
The Impact Dynasty Award 2025 has been presented to Tai TL, an artist who, through his impressive career, continues to redefine the standards of contemporary creation. Tai TL continues to push boundaries, reinvent codes, and challenge perceptions, offering boundless inspiration to today's creative youth. This award highlights not only his exceptional talent but also the profound impact of his work on an entire generation of artists and creators. By awarding him the Impact Dynasty Award 2025, the Foundation recognizes Tai TL's audacity and vision as a true ambassador for creative youth and cultural transformation.
THE Gala Dynastie The event also highlighted the legacy of Herby Moreau, a television host and cultural journalist who passed away in 2024. Nicknamed the "Star Hunter," Herby made his mark on Quebec's entertainment industry by interviewing major international celebrities at the Oscars, the Cannes Film Festival, and other prestigious events. His boldness and professionalism made him an indispensable figure in the media world, capable of capturing unique moments and showcasing the artists in a truly exceptional light.
This tribute was paid to him through a moving musical performance by his friend Jennifer Silencieux. Herby Moreau's family was present to share this moment.

THE Gala Dynastie It came to life with exceptional performances that celebrated the artistic richness of Quebec's Black communities. Presented by the Conseil des arts de Montréal, this event captivated audiences with a varied, dynamic, and surprising program.
The evening kicked off with a bang with Cirque Kalabanté, who blended impressive acrobatics with African traditions, setting the tone for a vibrant night. Next, Sajaa, with her deep and moving voice, transported the audience to an intimate atmosphere with her captivating fusion of jazz and soul. Kizaba then took to the stage with a unique mix of electronic and Afro-Congolese rhythms, delivering an energetic and modern performance.
Jennifer Silencieux, a talented artist, then amazed the audience with a powerful and emotional performance, marking a return to the stage.
To close this evening in style, J Perry, the Haitian star, set the stage on fire with his mix of konpa, reggae and zouk, an energetic finale that had the whole room dancing.
